This was bitingly satirical and horrifying - more so because it's exactly the type of selfish, craven, ego-stroking thing the rich and powerful would do in real life if a) the technology existed and b) they thought for one minute they could get away with it. That said, this is also hilarious. The blustering of Trump Jr., the slickly corporate reframing of abject horror as a business opportunity, even calling the psycho in charge of it Kathleen Kennedy-Kissenger was a master stroke.

Final question: how does one go about joining Captain069's army of lunatics? I feel a career change coming on!

whew.

what hits me here isn’t the mobs or Captain069, it’s how calmly the ruling class sells their own madness as “protection,” like genocide wrapped in a lifestyle brand. This reads like an ad for a plantation in space, where the masters have finally stopped pretending they need the rest of us for anything but fertilizer. The horror isn the horror is how reasonable torture porn would sound to the people it’s written for. You’ve put a mirror in front of empire and let it speak in its own cheerful voice. That’s the part that’s truly terrifying.
