I really enjoyed the epistolary format here. Very realistic. The language fits into teh bureaucracy style too. Very cool concept.

That's just sad, I hope for the mine workers they dropped the IQ to max 80. 150 would be cruel!

Loved the post, made me laugh a LOT. Awesome job!

Oh damn. I've been tempted to watch this but keep putting it off. You've really sold me on it. Especially how you described the use of colour.

Thanks, Buzz.

Colour usage is my specialty.

Haha. My apologies... Somehow my comment for a movie review ended up here instead... I got my wires crossed. You understand.

I will let my error remain, so your comment has context and you don't look like a crazy person (my gift to you as an apology).

For your article I will say this: I wanted to laugh but it scared me. And I don't scare easily (heights, being drafted to the military and RL Stine books, that's about it though).

I understood you were doing a movie review.

I5 felt like opportunr time for it.

Im now in line waiting to see it myself.

I'll make sure to leave my analysis on your next post.

I like how you chose the model of a report/ collection of reports for the style. Really shows the dehumanization in a structural way.

I gotta say, though… something’s missing.

The human element. What is it like for a person to live under these conditions? What is their experience? What is the experience of one of the pod-babies?

I get that the absence of the human angle is kinda the point: subsuming procreation into an industrial mode of production dehumanizes one of the most human things. Just a thought from someone who is also thinking about these things…

P.S. Would LOVE to collab if you are open to it. Dm if interested.

Hey Ben, as you said it’s the point. To me, I saw this as a machine trying to understand human as data points. Very cold. As humans, we see more than data points. Less distance. Humans, we are in each others heads. Machines observe, report, mimic, etc.

No fair. U put the warning at the end. Now my weenblow account is suspended.

What is this?

It really feels like I’m a machine trying to understand humans through metrics. Not the humans understand each other. Which means more emotion and logic. What an interesting and creative post.
