Well done! Twilight Zone-y. Put me in mind of Ray Bradbury and Harlan Ellison.

Thanks so much, Charlie.

Bradbury and Elison are heroes for sure.

Dang I better take the blue pill next time. Wait..he was the bad guy. If I take the red pill does that mean you’re an alien from a pool in Florida?

Machine Poet's avatar

Yes. That's how I understand it as well.

Great read in all aspects. Thanks MAchiNe

The possibilities for vengeance are mind-blowing. Heaven on earth for a vindictive, petty personality. As F. Scott Fitzgerald opined "When I get drunk I make the bastards pay and pay." Now I can do that without a hangover. Thanks, Machine Poet. You are my mechanical bestie.

I wear that badge with honor, Jim.

Could I contribute to any crowdfunding project there may be here please?

I imagine there are many similar minded individuals who would gladly give a portion of their pension to ensure DJT has all the arse licking help he needs in his heavily guarded, specialist COCOON compound called ‘Sycophantic Help in Thought Hyperbolic Extremes and Despotism’ or SHiTHEaD to keep things simple and the address unlikely to be confused.

Favorite comment!

Will let know when crowdfunding for SHiTHEaD goes live in 2027.

🤣🤣🤣

2027! Do we have that long!?

I could easily see this becoming real. Especially the selling point: you were never the problem, it was them.

"The problem was never you. It was other people the whole time."

I *knew* it!

Cocoon meets The Stepford Wives? or a newer sci-fi version of Logan's Run?

Btw, the movie *Companion* certainly had a twist, quite enjoyable & unexpected.

Machine Poet's avatar

I, of course, had to go watch Logan's Run after reading your comment.

What a strange picture that was!

I haven't seen Companion yet.

Maybe that will be this evening.

Thanks, as always, for checking it out, Kaye.

Yes, Logan's Run (dating my years of existence as a human) to recall types of films with meaning and depth (naturally, the book is always better) ... odd, yes, couldn't agree more.

Yea, Companion was a stumble find, but worth the time to watch.

My honor, Machine Poet, and you're welcome.

Have you watched the movie companion? Not too far from this 👀

Machine Poet's avatar

I have not.

I have written a trilogy called Companions though.

Check it out sometime.

Brilliant satire or is it a parody?
